Class Notes

Everything we need to be happy already lies inside us.

Vata is clear, creative, inspired, and joyful in its highest form

Vata Qualities:

  • Dry
  • Light
  • Cold
  • Rough
  • Subtle
  • Mobile
  • Clear

In Ayurveda, with qualities:

  • Like increases like
  • Most of the time we balance with the opposite

For example:

  • With cold, we need warmth
  • Dry, we need moisture

The movement of Wind helps to circulate, clear, and bring on new energy:  a freshness

Wind is the energy of circulation and change.

Wind assists in clearing out obstacles and propels us forward.

When energy is allowed to circulate, things naturally come into balance.
